Ukiah Adult School offers FREE English as a Second Language (ESL)
classes.
Hi there, this is Dave, I'm one of the three Ukiah Adult School ESL
teachers, in Ukiah. I teach the evening beginning class.
In the mornings
One level of English is offered from 8:30 to 11:30am, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and takes place in Room 8.
A second level meets, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:30
am to 11:30 am, in Room 9.
In the evenings
Three levels (beginning (Room 8), intermediate (Room 9), and advanced
(Room 5)) of English are offered from 6:30 to 9:30pm on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday.
The classes are operated on an open enrollment basis (students come
when they can).
FREE Evening child-care is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and
Thursdays. The child must be at least 3 years old and potty trained.
Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA)offers evening bus service. Ukiah
Adult school is on the route. Save money and gas and take the bus!
Ukiah Adult School also offered a FREE ESL class in Hopland. Due to a
lack of students, this class has been cancelled.

Due to a lack of evening attendance and budget constraints,
Ukiah Adult School will not offer evening English classes next
year. This will mean that there will no longer be evening
child-care either. This may change in the far future when the
current budget crisis is resolved.
The morning classes will have an added Friday morning session
and the schedule will remain the same.
