The Presidential Primary Election is June 5, 2012
If you'd like to register to vote you can go to the County Clerk - Registrar of Voters, 501 Low Gap Rd, Room 1020, in Ukiah, CA 95482-3738. Registration for this election is open at this time. The deadline is May 21, 2012.
The last day to request a vote by mail ballot is May 29, 2012 All vote by mail ballots must be received by the Election Office or at any polling place within the county no later than 8pm on June 5, 2012.

This election includes electing members of our community for: - County Supervisor for Mendocino County's 2nd District
One local measure is on this ballot: - Measure D (City of Ukiah regarding the Office of City Treasurer)
This is a primary election for: -The Candidates to the Presidency of the United States of America
-The United States Senatorial Candidates, for California
-The Candidates for the United States House of Representative, 2nd Congressional District (our district)
-The State of California Candidates to the State Assembly, 2nd Assembly District (our district)
Two state wide measures on on the ballot: -Proposition 28: Limits on Legislators' Terms in Office.
-Proposition 29: Imposes Additional Tax on Cigarettes for Cancer Research.

The Ukiah Daily Journal, The American Association of University Women and the National Women's Political Caucus sponsored
Election Forum, took place on Thursday May 3rd, at the Ukiah Civic Center
Candidates for the newly formed 2nd Congressional District were there to answer previously selected questions (due to the number of candidates).
This event was televised on Comcast Channel 3 and was also aired on KZYX radio and may be repeated by both Channel 3 and KZYX radio.
Our current Congressman, Mike Thompson, is running in a different congressional district.
